Developing Number Concepts by Kathy Richardson

Developing Number Concepts is designed to help young children develop important foundational mathematics concepts. The three instructional books and planning guide include cohesive and organized sets of experiences focused on particular mathematical ideas. Every concept is developed both through teacher-directed and independent activities. Because children learn at different rates the activities are "expandable," making it easy for teachers to differentiate their instruction. Developing Number Concepts is an essential part of any math instructional program and is also ideal for intervention use.

Activities from this series are aligned to the assessments results from Kathy Richardson's Assessing Math Concepts enabling teachers to target their instruction to the needs of each student.

Also available are additional resources to make implementing the program even easier including pre-printed activity cards for the station activities, manipulative kits, dice and spinners.
