The Compact Time Board is a concrete approach to teaching an abstract concept - elapsed time.

The student board is a linear clock representing AM on one side and PM on the other. Every 5 minute increment in a 24 hour period is represented so students can make a visual transition from AM to PM or vice versa just by turning the board over.

Students use magnetic proportional time pieces to measure elapsed time on their boards. The Compact Time Board can illustrate all three elapsed time problem types: start time unknown, end time unknown, and elapsed time unknown.

Each single set contains:
- one double-sided student boards (19" x 5")
- one set of magnetic, proportional time pieces including:
- Eight 1-hour magnets
- Four 45-minute magnets
- Six 30-minute magnets
- Ten 15-minute magnets
