Assessing
Assessing Math Concepts™ (AMC) & AMC Anywhere
AMC is a continuum of K-2 assessments focused on core concepts essential for math success. The assessments are formative, diagnostic and designed to uncover students’ true understanding.
Using Kathy Richardson’s proven assessment methodology teachers can individualize and personalize instruction. This gives students better opportunities for mastery of the mathematical concepts needed for success in elementary and middle school and beyond.
• Assessment results group students and are aligned to Developing Number Concepts for specific instructional strategies and activities.
• Assessments are conducted in short one-on-one student/teacher interviews, with student responses captured and tracked using the Student Interview Forms, or by the web-based, online platform, AMC Anywhere.
Instruction
Developing Number Concepts
With books, activity card kits, and manipulative kits, teachers have a complete number curriculum for their K-3 classrooms. Each book is research-based and written clearly to ensure teachers can deliver simple, but meaningful activities designed to give learners sequential, explicit, and repeated math experiences, using the curriculum’s recommended math stations strategies.
• Activity Card Kits feature the classroom-ready materials needed to implement the math stations featured in each Developing Number Concepts book.
• Manipulative Resource Kits for Developing Number Concepts are specifically aligned for each curriculum book and include manipulatives, laminated activity cards, and Developing Number Concepts dice.
Intervention Kits
